Fetch 3.03

This program has many uses. The only use/configuration mentioned here will allow our users to upload their web pages to our web server for the world to see.

 

Once you have run fetch, you should see the following window.

 

Type in the following information and click

Host:

web.webcasa.net

User ID:

<Your User Name>

Password:

<Your Password>

Directory:

public_html

 

The first time you log in you will get an error message. The public_html directory do not exist yet. Once you hit the following window will appear. (Again, if this is you first time it won't look exactly like this.)

 

 

If this is your first time running Fetch then follow this step, otherwise skip to the  next step.

Go up to the "Directories" menu and click on  "Create New Directory...". Then the following  window will appear. Type in "public_html" and click .  Now, Quit Fetch and re-run the program, at start  over with the instructions. This time you won't get  the error message.

 

 

If you now click you can select which file you want to uplaod to the server. REMEMBER anything you upload will be viewable to the world. You will have to upload all the files necessary to make your web page work, including any graphics you use.

When you want to view you web pages over the internet with a brawser you will type in:

http://web.webcasa.net /~<Your User Name>/
